ORGANIZATION OF GOVERNOR’S ESTABLISHMENT & FUNCTIONS ESTABLISHMENT:
Governor’s establishment is organized into two wings normally:
1. Secretariat
2. Household
The Principal Secretary to Governor / Secretary to Governor is in overall charge of both the wings. The Governor’s Secretariat provides administrative back-up to the governor in the exercise of his constitutional and related functions. The Officer-in-Charge of the Household i.e. the Comptroller of the Household assisted by both Supervisor and Sr. Supervisor (Household) is in direct charge of Governor’s Household in and upkeep of all articles, under the supervision and guidance of the Joint Secretary, governor’s Secretariat.
Raj Bhavan, Agartala is situated at Kunjaban, on way from the Civil Secretariat to Agartala Airport. Raj Bhavan consists of three separate buildings – the main building, the Secretariat building and the Durbar Hall. The main building consists of three suites viz. Governor’s suite and two VVIP suites, 3(three) guest rooms, a drawing room, a dining hall, a library-cum-study, pantry, Tagore verandah, the office chamber of the governor and an attached drawing room and an office Chamber for the Governor’s ADC/staff.
Household:
As mentioned earlier, the Governor’s Household is under the supervision of the Joint Secretary through the Comptroller of Household (HH) assisted by Supervisor and Senior Supervisor (Household). In the matter of Protocol concerning the household, the Protocol Officer is accountable.
